The Denver Nuggets opened their pre-season with a 108-106 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday.The first NBA game in Calgary in 20 years was played in front of an announced sellout of 19,600 at Scotiabank Saddledome.The Raptors dropped to 1-1 in the pre-season after beating the Golden State Warriors in Vancouver on Saturday.Denver spread scoring out between Jusuf Nurkic (15 points), Danilo Gallinari (14) and Nikola Jokic and Will Barton (12).

Raptors drop exhibition game to Nuggets
CALGARY—Dwane Casey is taking every opportunity to see what the end of the Toronto Raptors' training camp roster can contribute.Holding out two starters and limiting two others to less than 20 minutes, the coach mixed and matched a group that dropped a 108-106 decision to the Denver Nuggets before a sellout crowd of 19,600 at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday night.The Raptors gave starters DeMarre Carroll (rest) and Jared Sullinger (sore foot) the night off and sat DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry for the entire second half as Casey eases his team into the exhibition season.In their places, the Raptors used the likes of Bruno Caboclo, Pascal Siakam, Lucas Nogueira and Drew Crawford for extended periods.
